• Make handouts electronic- Almost everyone in the business world these days has a laptop. So make all of your handouts for your meetings available online. You can even copy your handouts to a floppy disk or CD.
• Meeting registration online- By having your attendees register online you eliminate a lot of paper use.
• Use recycled paper- For the times you have to use paper use recycled paper.
• Use reusable name tags- Instead of buying those stick on name tags that you just throw away after one use, buy reusable name tags. This way you not only helping out the environment but also saving money.
• Recycle bins in the meeting rooms- By having a recycling bin in each room your encouraging people in your meeting to recycle used bottle, cans, paper, and other recyclables they may have brought with them.
• Use overheads and projectors- By doing this you don’t have to use handouts or flip charts.
• Let your attendees know- Letting your attendees know that they have just attended a green meeting may encourage them to hold green meetings as well.
