The Albany Aqua Ducks and Trolleys offer fun filled, and educational, ways for visitors to experience the city. It’s a perfect way to see what the capital city of New York State has to offer.
The Aqua Ducks are two state-of-the-art amphibious vehicles. The 90-minute narrated historic tours of Albany feature a splash into the Hudson River for a sailor’s view of the city. The Aqua Duck tours leave daily from the Albany Heritage Area Visitors Center at Quackenbush Square located at the corner of Broadway and Clinton Avenue. Some of the exciting sights you will see aboard Aqua Ducks include: SUNY Central, Railroad Bridge, ENCON Building, The USS Slater and The Dutch Apple Cruise. There isn’t a more beautiful view of the skyline of Albany than on the Hudson River. You haven’t seen Albany until you view it on the open water. The Aqua Ducks begin running in mid April and continue to operate thru October.
The Albany Trolleys are a division of the Albany Aqua Ducks. Every ticket is for an all day ride. The tour lasts for about an hour and is narrated by a knowledgeable conductor. The tour of Albany stops at twenty locations allowing passengers to board and re-board throughout the day. Some of the sights you will be able to see include: The Palace Theater, The Ten Brueck Mansion, The Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, The NY State Capital, The Capital Repertory Theater and many more fabulous attractions. The Albany Trolleys start running in early June and continue thru Labor Day.
Both the Aqua Ducks and the Trolleys offer group charters for special occasions.
